Prism Awards —
In order to recognize extraordinary leadership in and outstanding
assistance to the LGBT Community, LAHR presents the Prism
Awards to worthy recipients in a fun and exciting annual
ceremony. Nomination forms are available by contacting LAHR.

Future Plans —
LAHR has would like to build a LGBT Community Center for
you! LAHR also plans to re-engage the Speaker Bureau, an
educational outreach for the Mid-Michigan public and recently
started a new forum called LAHROutspoken.
Social Events —
LAHR hosts a number of fun events and activities for LGBT
neighbors and friends to get acquainted with one another
and help build a greater sense of community by facilitating
friendships among LGBT people in the area. LAHR social events
include: Bowling, Volleyball and Cafe Night. Consult the
LGBT News calendar for more information on dates and time
of events.
Discussion Groups —
LAHR sponsors a series of discussion groups centering around
LGBT issues. Current discussion groups established are:
The Breakfast Club, Coming Out, Long Term Relationships,
Gender NonConformist, and a monthly Reading Group. Additional
discussion groups will be added in the future! Consult the
LGBT News for more information on dates and times.
Representing the LGBT Community

LAHR stands tall for your concerns on local police and community
relations boards during troubling incidents in the area,
and when called upon to provide advocacy for the LGBT community.
LAHR PAC Candidates —
Our newsletter is an important resource for political issues,
including how local candidates for office view issues significantly
impacting the LGBT community.
